RIP Shrek

Thanks for coming here to pay your respects.  Shrek was an inspiration to all that he came in contact with.  I feel truly honored to have been able to call him a close friend.  No one I have ever met has been more giving of himself.  Shrek was a friend to anyone he came in contact with and truly cared about people.

Please comment below if you would like.  All comments will be shared with the family, so please sign your name so the family knows who it came from.

Also, I would like to add photos to this page.  If you have any digital photos of Shrek that you would like to share, please send them to me at rwp9976@yahoo.com so that I can post them here.

Thank you

  1. I would have to say my fondest memory of Shrek would have to be at Christmas time. Every year, he would bring a Christmas tree over to the Serenity House and help decorate it. On Christmas morning, he would have a gift there for every guy to open. Talk about selflessness!

  4. Shrek was truly one of the greatest men I have ever met. I have never met someone so selfless before in my life. He was always ready and willing to help anyone in any way that he could. No matter how sick he was he always made sure that everyone else was okay. When my mother was sick he would go and visit her and always made sure I didn't need anything. There is no doubt in my mind that Shrek is sitting in heaven watching over all of us, with a deck of cards in hand. There were many nights spent playing very serious games of spades. The only regret I have is not being able to share with him how much I truly loved and respected him. May your pain and suffering all be gone and may you be as happy as you could ever be Shrek. We love and miss you so much already!

  5. One of my oldest memories of Rob was when he got me my first job, in this chapter of my life, at the laundry mat in Monaca. It paid almost nothing, but at the time I had nothing but a few days. It truly helped me and he was a friend ever since.

My sympathy to Michelle and all the family.
    He will be missed.

    I love you Rob

  6. It was always so encouraging to see Rob so many nights a week considering his situation. I respected him and will never forget his strength. Wednesday nights will never be the same without him.
My thoughts are with Rob's other friends and family.
